Managing Risk
Cultivating Leadership for Breed Organizations
Welcome to Module 8 of our Cultivating Leadership Training Series. During this module we will discuss how to manage risk to your organization.
Risk management is a process through which an organization deals with risks and potential risks to their business and their breed. It includes identifying, analyzing and evaluating, and preparing for risks, as well as creating an ongoing plan to monitor for new or unknown risks.
During Module 8, we will talk about the different types of risk your organization might face, including financial and legal risks and risks to the organization’s reputation or the breed’s integrity. We’ll also cover how to minimize your risk exposure. Real-life examples will be used throughout the webinar to demonstrate the consequences of failing to plan for risk management and to identify methods for preventing issues in the future.
The Cultivating Leadership Initiative helps breed associations, clubs, and registries establish and achieve high standards of operation for longevity and continued success. Thriving organizations save more livestock and poultry. The Cultivating Leadership Training Series also aligns with general best practices and is especially beneficial to officers and leaders of breed associations and clubs.
